2. Entries must be approximately 700 words long, typed or legibly written in black ink or ballpoint on one side only of A4 sheets and double-spaced. Entrants must submit two copies of their entry. 3. Entries over 800 words in length (not including description of any graphic illustration or bibliography) will be disqualified. 4. Articles must be submitted with a completed entry form (photocopies of the entry form are acceptable). 5. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence on the nature of assessment or the results will be entered into. 6. The competition is open to UK residents only. Employees and their families of The Daily Telegraph, BASF, the British Association for the Advancement of Science, their subsidiaries or associated companies, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible. 7.
